It is our pleasure to welcome you to Thermophiles 2011. This year’s conference will be held just miles from Yellowstone National Park, in Big Sky, Montana, USA, September 11-16, 2011. This is the 11th international meeting with the continuing goal to share and review discoveries and progress in thermophilic research across disciplines and applications.

Big Sky, Montana is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Southwest, Montana. The area is famous for outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and rafting. It is 48 miles / 77 kilometers from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, home to a variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone National Park are Old Faithful and many of the world's most extraordinary geysers and hot springs, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
